Selecting qualified professionals in Saskatchewan

Selecting qualified professionals in Saskatchewan

This is the first immigration screening in Canada held specifically for residents of Ukraine.

On March 4, the province of Saskatchewan sent out invitations to those candidates who reside in Ukraine and had previously applied for immigration to the province through two streams:

For the first stream, Occupation In-Demand, 22 people were invited, with a minimum score of 60. For the second stream, 14 people were invited, with a minimum score of 61. The last selection was January 12, 2022, when the passing score was 68 for both streams.

Also note that since August 15, 2019, this is the first Saskatchewan selection that didn't select professionals in certain professions the province needs right now. For example, on January 12, 2022, only paramedics, medical technicians and psychologists were invited. Before that there were 14 professions, mostly managers and industrial, electrical and construction workers.
