Prince Edward Island held its first drawing in 2022
The selection took place in several streams at once.
On January 20, 132 candidates received invitations to apply for the province's Prince Edward Island nomination. Selection was through the provincial immigration program for professionals and entrepreneurs.
As part of the drawing, 11 invitations went to candidates entrepreneurial stream who scored at least 72 points on the provincial scoring system.
Another 121 invitations were distributed between the two streams:
- candidates registered with Express Entry;
- candidates with the skills and experience needed in the provincial labour market — this stream includes three streams:
- qualified professionals;
- intermediate and low skilled workers;
- graduates of Prince Edward Island.
The province did not provide a breakdown of the number of candidates invited between all streams, nor the minimum score required for each category.
