B.C. invites more immigration candidates
This time around, managers in two areas were particularly lucky.
On November 23, British Columbia issued 357 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination. The selection was made through the provincial immigration program.
258 candidates were selected in streams for skilled workers, Canadian graduates, and low— and intermediate-skilled professionals. The minimum passing scores were distributed as follows:
- skilled workers — 96;
- Canadian graduates — 82;
- low and medium skilled workers — 71;
- skilled workers with selection through Express Entry — 97;
- Canadian graduates with selection through Express Entry — 83.
Passing scores were up slightly from the previous selection, which took place on November 9.
B.C. made a separate selection for candidates with the following occupations:
Professionals in these fields received 99 invitations, significantly more than the province normally selects. The minimum passing score for all categories was 103. It decreased by 1 point compared to the previous selection.
