Manitoba lowered passing scores in new selection
For 2021, the province has already invited 9,150 people.
On October 21, 459 candidates received invitations to apply for nomination from the province of Manitoba. Selection was through the Manitoba Immigration Program among qualified individuals who are already in the province, qualified individuals from overseas and Manitoba university graduates.
Invitations and passing grades in the "Expression of Interest" system were distributed as follows:
- skilled professionals in Manitoba — 388 invitations, minimum score 375;
- skilled professionals abroad — 39 invitations, minimum score 716;
- international educational stream — 37 invitations, no points required.
94 invitations out of 459 were sent to candidates with an active profile in Express Entry.
Compared to previous drawing, which took place on October 7, passing scores for the markedly lower.
