Manitoba raises passing score in new selection
The province invited fewer candidates this time.
On August 12, 275 candidates received invitations to apply for nomination from the province of Manitoba. Selection was through Manitoba's immigration program among qualified professionals already in Manitoba, qualified professionals from abroad and Manitoba university graduates.
Invitations and passing grades in the "Expression of Interest" system were distributed as follows:
- skilled professionals in Manitoba — 238 invitations, minimum score 454;
- skilled professionals abroad — 6 invitations, minimum score 719;
- international educational stream — 31 invitations, no points required.
Compared to previous draw, which was held on July 29, the passing scores in the new selection have increased significantly, while fewer candidates were invited.
