Manitoba held a major immigration draw
The lucky ones were qualified specialists and university graduates.
On July 9, 277 candidates received invitations to apply for nomination from the Province of Manitoba. Selection was through Manitoba's immigration program among qualified professionals who are already in Manitoba, qualified professionals from abroad and Manitoba university graduates.
Invitations and passing grades in the "Expression of Interest" system were distributed as follows:
- skilled professionals in Manitoba — 201 invitations, minimum score 445;
- skilled professionals abroad — 53 invitations, minimum score 703;
- international educational stream — 23 invitations, no points required.
Manitoba's previous selection was held on June 28 for qualified overseas professionals only. The draw for all streams was held earlier, on June 17. Compared to that, the passing score for Manitoba skilled trades in the new selection increased by 15 points, while the passing score for overseas skilled trades remained the same.
Keep an eye on history of passing scores and number of invitations to increase your chances of receiving a nomination from the Province of Manitoba.
