Ontario hosted a screening for technical professions
Over 2,000 invitations have been sent out.
On December 14, the province of Ontario held another immigration draw for the Human Capital Priorities Stream, which is intended for in-demand professionals. Its specialty is that each time the selection is based on a new list of eligible occupations. This time, the province invited technical specialists.
A total of 2,359 invitations were sent to applicants who scored between 473 and 480 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System. The previous drawing of this type was held November 30 for health care professionals, and the passing score was lower for them. Points in this system are awarded for language proficiency, age, work experience, education, and so on.
So, the full list of in-demand occupations in this draw looks like this:
- Computer and information systems managers;
- Data Scientists;
- Cybersecurity specialists;
- Business system analysts;
- Information systems specialists;
- Database analysts and data administrators;
- Computer systems developers and programmers;
- Software engineers and designers;
- Software developers and programmers;
- Web designers;
- Web developers and programmers;
- Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers);
- Computer network technicians;
- User support technicians;
- Information systems testing technicians.
