Two new drawings in the Express Entry system

The selection in the transportation sector took place for the first time in history.

On September 19 and 20, another selection of candidates for federal programs through the Express Entry system took place. This time were sent 4,200 invitations.

Express Entry is Canada's system for selecting applicants for federal immigration programs. There are three programs:

On September 19, Canada sent out 3,200 invitations to candidates with more than 531 points in the Complex Ranking System. This is a very high threshold: in the previous round of selections August 16, candidates with 496 points were invited, and before that, August 1, that score was 517 — already considered high.

And today, September 20, for the first time in the history of Express Entry, the selections among transportation professionals, announced earlier this week, took place. The passing score for them was significantly lower at 435. A total of 1,000 such invitations were sent in this round.

In order to qualify for selection of transportation professionals, one must be qualified to work in one of the required occupations — full list here. In addition, you must have at least 6 months relevant work experience in the last 3 years.
