Canada had a new major draw in Express Entry

Passing scores have gone down.

On August 15, Canada held a major draw for applicants to all federal immigration programs through the Express Entry system.

Express Entry is used to select applicants for the following programs:

Canada invited 4,300 candidates who scored 496 or more points in the Comprehensive ranking system. Points in Express Entry are awarded for education, language skills, age, availability of a job offer in Canada, ability to adapt to the country, and so on.

Canada held the previous similar selection on August 1 with a passing score of 517. Later, on August 3, a special draw was held for candidates with trades occupations only.
