Double immigration draw for workers in Ontario

Foreign specialists as well as in-demand specialists received invitations.

On June 20, the province of Ontario held selections for immigration candidates. Drawings were held for two streams: Foreign Worker and In-Demand Skills. A total of 1,000 invitations were sent.

Among foreign workers, 426 candidates who scored 36 or higher in the evaluation system and had technical and trades occupations received invitations. Another 318 selected candidates scored 33 or higher and had healthcare occupations. You can see the list of all eligible occupations for this draw on the official provincial website.

The previous selection for foreign workers was held on May 9, with a minimum score of 43.

Among specialists with in-demand skills, the region selected 256 people who scored at least 26 points. This selection was general, and candidates were invited regardless of occupation.

The previous In-Demand Skills selection was held on April 11, and the minimum passing score was 4 points higher. This is the second selection this year for the In-Demand Skills stream.

Ontario awards points based on the candidate's profession, salary offered, work experience, earnings history, employer location, and other similar factors. Both streams require you to find a job in the province.
