British Columbia held a selection for entrepreneurs

About 15 people received invitations.

On May 9, British Columbia held an immigration draw for entrepreneurs under the provincial immigration program.

10 invitations were sent to business people from the Base Category. They needed to score a minimum of 115 points. In addition, candidates need to have business management experience, have a net worth of CAD 600,000 and be willing to invest in a company of CAD 200,000 or more.

Less than 5 invitations were received by entrepreneurs of the Regional Stream, who scored 119 points or more. The regional stream is designed for business people who want to run a business in small towns. Applicants must have experience running a business, but the financial requirements are lower: a net worth of CAD 300,000 and investments of CAD 100,000 or more.

The previous selection for Base Category entrepreneurs was held on March 30, the passing score remained unchanged. The previous selection with the Regional Stream entrepreneurs was held on February 28, the passing score was 7 points lower.

Simultaneously with the May 9 drawing for entrepreneurs, British Columbia sent invitations to in-demand professionals.
