Long-awaited Ontario draw for in-demand professionals
There have been no draws on this stream for more than 6 months.
On April 11, the province of Ontario held a draw under its immigration program. The invitations were issued to 295 candidates with in-demand skills.
They had to score a minimum of 30 points on the scoring system. Points were awarded for profession, salary offered, work permit, duration of work experience, earnings history, and employer location.
The In-Demand Skills stream also requires applicants to find a job in Ontario and work in the province for a minimum of 9 months before applying.
This year it is the first In-Demand Skills draw. The previous draw was held on June 29, 2022, and the minimum passing score was 24.
