Alberta held an immigration draw for the first time since long ago

The province invited more than 1,000 candidates at a time.

On July 18, Alberta held a new provincial immigration program draw. Invitations were sent out to 1,160 candidates from Alberta Opportunity Stream.

This stream does not require applicants to score points, but they must be working in the province at the time of application and have one year of work experience in Alberta or two years of experience outside of the province. In addition, there is a list of occupations excluded from participation.

To increase your chances of receiving an invitation from Alberta, keep an eye on the immigration draws history.
