Targeted Immigration Selection in British Columbia
The province still lacks IT workers, doctors, and kindergarten workers.
On May 24, 2022, British Columbia sent out 137 invitations to professionals in the province's desired professions to apply for the nomination. Among the nominees:
- 115 technicians;
- 11 health care professionals;
- 11 early childhood educators and assistants.
For the latter two categories of specialists, the passing score decreased.
Profession | Minimum score | Categories |
Technical experts | 85 | Skilled Worker, International Graduate (including those registered with Express Entry) |
Health care professionals | 60 | Skilled Worker, International Graduate, Entry Level and Semi-Skilled (including those enrolled in Express Entry) |
Early childhood educators and assistants | 60 | Skilled Worker, International Graduate (including those registered with Express Entry) |
The province held its previous drawing May 17 — at that time not only the above specialists received invitations, but also candidates with other professions as part of the general selection. Follow the history of immigration draws to increase your chances of moving to B.C. for permanent residency.
