British Columbia has once again conducted a double immigration draw
Luck smiled on all professions, as well as those in demand in the provincial labor market.
On May 17, British Columbia sent out 185 invitations to the provincial immigration program. On that day there were two selections, one general and the other targeted to certain professions.
154 people received invitations in the general draw. Technicians were also among them. Passing scores were distributed as follows:
Stream | Passing score |
Skilled Worker | 109 |
Skilled Worker (Express Entry option) | 123 |
International Graduate | 97 |
International Graduate (Express Entry option) | 107 |
Entry Level and Semi-Skilled | 77 |
The previous selection for all professions took place on May 3. Compared to that, the passing grades in the new draw are almost unchanged.
Another 31 invitations were sent to candidates with in-demand professions. Passing scores and the number of invitations were distributed as follows:
Streams | Invitations | Passing score | Professions |
Skilled Worker, International Graduate, including Express Entry option | 21 | 62 | Early childhood educators and assistants |
Skilled Worker, International Graduate, including Express Entry option, Entry Level and Semi-Skilled | Less than 5 | 62 | Health care professionals (except listed below) |
Entry Level and Semi-Skilled | Less than 5 | 62 | Nurse aides, orderlies, and patient service associates |
The previous target draw in the province took place on May 10. In the new selection, the passing score remains the same.
