Even janitors and waiters can move to Canada

A miracle has happened! The Canadian government has greatly simplified the requirements for one of the immigration programs.

Now it is not only highly qualified specialists who can get permanent residence in Canada. After all, if you put your hand on your heart, previously only young people or those who graduated from universities and worked as programmers, engineers or scientists, as well as those who were fluent in English had a chance.

But what about ordinary people who, let's say, have only school education, are in their 40s and have English with a dictionary? That's it, Canada is closed? Yes, that was the answer from the immigration consultants of our company, which provides immigration services to Canada.

But that was before. That's all changed now. One Canadian province — Nova Scotia — has expanded the list of occupations by stream for in-demand professionals. This means that if your profession is on the list, you can immigrate to Canada. You can change your life for the better. You can live in a better country in the near future. And these are not just words, in 2021 Canada was ranked first in the world ranking of developed countries.

Program for in-demand specialists

The in-demand immigration stream accepts applications from candidates 21 to 55 years old. That is, even after the age of 50 it is possible to move to Canada. If you have graduated from high school or have a college or technical school education, this is enough to pass through this program. Let's reiterate: you do not need a college degree to move to Canada.

You must have some knowledge of English or French at school level. Here you will have to take an official language test, but if you pass IELTS with a 4, that will be enough. If you do not know English at all, I guarantee that in six months of studying at the Canadian language school where I am an agent, you will reach the required level. And you can study online.

The immigration program description has a requirement on the money you must have, but it does not clearly say how much it is. It says to have enough money to get you settled in. Since Nova Scotia is one of the cheapest provinces to live in Canada, I will assume that the requirements will be at the level of the Atlantic immigration program. That is approximately $3,000 USD per applicant. If there is more than one person in the family, then around $5,000 USD.

By the way, have you heard that Atlantic Pilot officially closes on December 31, 2021? It was launched in 2017 by four provinces, one of which is just Nova Scotia. That's why I made the assumption that there would be such a money requirement. No need to be upset about the closure of the pilot, as it was announced back in 2020 that this program would be permanent. That's what happened.

Suitable occupations

The next requirement for candidates is a minimum of 1 year of experience in the required profession. They are as follows:

As you can see, the professions are popular, and even if you do not have the necessary work experience, you can get it and apply for immigration in a year, if, of course, this program will still work. I think that people will be quickly recruited and the list of professions will be changed. As, in fact, it happened now. It is better not to procrastinate, run to learn English, take IELTS, certify the diploma of education, while there is still demand.

What do you think of the requirements? Can you pull it off? There's one more thing I've left for last. Agree, it all sounded very simple and there must be a catch somewhere.

Working in Nova Scotia

To immigrate under this program, you must find a job in Canada. More specifically, in the province of Nova Scotia. Yes, I understand that it is not easy. I used to tell myself that if you are not in Canada, it is almost impossible. But times are changing and this is becoming a reality.

Just look at the location of the province on the map. It is located somewhere in eastern Canada, far from civilized places. The entire population of the province is less than 1 million at the end of 2021. Halifax is the largest city with 400,000 people. The rest of the cities can be compared to villages, it's boring and people move to big cities in Canada. There is no one to work!

That's why it's impossible to find waiters, cleaners and the rest. It wasn't my idea. It's a forced move by the provincial government to expand the list of occupations for immigration. There is another nice bonus — a Canadian employer can hire foreigners without a LMIA. It is very important exception, because Canadian labour market is closed and usually employer needs to try to hire local people, fill many documents, pay $1000 CAD and only after that receive permission to employ foreigners. In this program you do not need to do that!

Immigration assistance

Now about what our team can help you with. There's a long list of services. The first is to arrange for you to study in a Canadian language school online. The second is to help you with credential certification. The third is to write you Canadian standard resumes and prepare you for interviews. We have a Canadian HR professional who has been doing this for 8 years. She is really professional. Fourth is to prepare the paperwork for the visa and permanent residency application. My spouse is a immigration consultant, she is a specialist in this field and she is licensed to provide immigration services. The rest is up to you: you have to want to get to Canada and take the first step.
