British Columbia held several shenanigans at once
The province invited 419 candidates in different categories.
On October 12, the British Columbia government issued 308 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination under the provincial immigration program. Selections were made for professionals in various fields and for those in one of the federal programs.
Among the invited categories, the level of minimum passing scores was distributed as follows:
- skilled professionals — 91;
- Canadian graduates — 78;
- low and medium skilled workers — 69;
- qualified professionals with selection through Express Entry — 87;
- Canadian graduates with selection through Express Entry — 76.
Separately, the province sent out 101 invitations to retail and wholesale managers and restaurant and foodservice managers. The minimum passing score for all categories was 104.
In addition, 10 invitations have also been extended to entrepreneurs who wish to purchase an established or create a new business in British Columbia.
