Ontario's first selection process for master's and doctoral graduates took place
The selection system in these streams has recently changed.
On August 18, the Ontario Provincial Immigration Program sent 479 invitations to candidates to apply for a provincial nomination. The drawing was held among graduates of Canadian universities with master's and doctoral degrees.
The number of invitations and passing scores in the "Expression of Interest" system were distributed as follows:
- graduates with a master's degree — 402 invitations, passing score 39;
- Doctoral graduates — 77 invitations, passing score 17.
Earlier this month, the province of Ontario announced a new candidate evaluation system for listed streams. This is the first selection to go through this system.
