Ontario changes assessment system for two immigration streams

The province will award points for certain factors.

The Province of Ontario has announced a new "Expression of Interest" system for two more immigration program streams:

"Expression of Interest" is a system for evaluating candidates for immigration. To apply through one of the streams listed above, you must create an account in the system and complete an application form. Applicants will be evaluated on factors such as work experience in Canada, field of study, language level, and location of school. Applicants with the highest scores will receive an invitation from Ontario and may apply for permanent residency.

The Expression of Interest system was launched by the province in April 2021. It is being used to make selections for three more Ontario streams:
