The province of Ontario has a major screening process for tradespeople

Luck smiled on nearly 1,000 candidates.

On June 1, the Ontario Provincial Program sent 986 notices of interest to candidates who participated in the Skilled Trades stream.

To be selected in this drawing, applicants needed to score between 300 and 379 points on the Complex Ranking System — significantly lower than the previous selection that took place on January 13.

Applicants who have received notice of interest from Ontario now have 45 calendar days to apply for the provincial nomination.

Candidates who participated in the selection had an active profile in the Express Entry system. If they successfully receive a nomination from the province, they will be awarded 600 additional points, and due to this high score, they can easily receive an invitation to the CoML in the next Express Entry selection through this stream.

Keep an eye on history of passing scores and number of invitations to maximize your chances of immigrating to Ontario.
