Ontario holds first selection for international graduates
The raffle was held under the new candidate evaluation system launched this year.
On May 18, the Ontario Provincial Immigration Program sent invitations to candidates in a stream for foreign graduates of Canadian universities. To participate, candidates had to have a job offer from a provincial employer.
The passing score in the system "Expression of interest" was 77. The province did not report how many candidates received invitations.
On April 28, Ontario announced the launch of a new candidate selection system, Expression of Interest. This is the first selection in the foreign graduate stream to undergo this system. Earlier, the province also conducted the first drawing for foreign qualified professionals using the same system.
