B.C. Delighted with New Selection
The passing score decreased in almost all categories of candidates.
On May 11, 379 candidates were selected to apply for the nomination from the province of British Columbia.
Selection was through the British Columbia Immigration Program. 331 invitations were sent to skilled workers, graduates of Canadian universities, and low— and medium-skilled professionals.
The minimum passing grades are distributed as follows:
- skilled workers in the stream for professionals in various fields — 94;
- Canadian graduates in the stream for professionals in various fields are 92;
- lower and intermediate professionals in the stream for specialists in various fields — 77;
- skilled workers in the stream for those in one of the federal programs are 94;
- Canadian graduates in the stream for those in one of the federal programs are 92.
B.C. made special selections for candidates with the following occupations:
Professionals in these fields received 48 invitations, the minimum passing score for all categories is 112.
