The province has finally lifted the 31 occupation restrictions that had been in place throughout the pandemic.

On Feb. 16, B.C. invited 459 candidates to apply for the provincial nomination.

In the past selection process, invitations were sent to qualified workers, graduates of Canadian universities, and low— and medium-skilled professionals.

The minimum passing grades are distributed as follows:

As of February 16, British Columbia resumed issuing invitations to apply to 31 professions previously excluded from accepting invitations.

In order to balance the needs in all sectors of the provincial job market, a separate drawing was held for retail and wholesale managers and restaurant and catering managers, as both professions have a high number of applications in the registration system. This time, 35 candidates received invitations.

The minimum passing grades are distributed as follows:

"We will continue to monitor and adjust program requirements as necessary to ensure we do not lose sight of our long-term goals and the role of immigration in supporting quality economic growth throughout British Columbia," says the province's website.
