The path to success: what is an MBA degree and which university to get it from

Why are MBA programs so popular, what opportunities does this education offer, and which universities provide Master of Business Administration degrees?

A business administration education is a gateway to a successful career in business. In today's fast-changing economy, understanding how business works is becoming increasingly important. This knowledge is especially crucial for those already working in the field, planning to start, or running their own business.

Educational programs at universities and business schools provide students with academic knowledge, practical skills, management expertise, and valuable connections in the business community. The MBA program is particularly popular among these.

What is an MBA?

MBA (Master of Business Administration) is an educational program that prepares masters in business administration and management. It's chosen by aspiring entrepreneurs or people working in lower and middle management positions aiming to climb the career ladder. For business owners, an MBA is a chance to learn how to develop their business effectively. For those already in management, an MBA degree can lead to top management positions, professional growth, and a significant increase in income. MBA programs provide in-depth knowledge of financial analytics, economics, marketing, and improve management skills.

Why is the MBA becoming increasingly popular?

The MBA is the most popular postgraduate program worldwide, despite being quite expensive. So why is it the top choice in modern education? There are several reasons.

Over 250,000 people enroll in MBA programs annually because this education opens up wide prospects for graduates. Business is everywhere today — IT, logistics, construction, manufacturing, services, finance, banking, and more. In any industry you can imagine, there's developed business. Those with a Master's degree in Business Administration can find work in their field of interest.

Many choose an MBA to get a higher management position or change jobs. For most people, an MBA makes this possible. Statistics show that over half of such program graduates change jobs, and over 80% find employment within three months of completing their studies.

Moreover, the salary of an MBA graduate is significantly higher than those with lower-level education. Bachelor's degree graduates in business earn about $88,000 CAD per year on average, which is very good. However, according to 2025 data, the average salary for MBA graduates in Canada ranges from $70,000 to $125,000 CAD per year, with graduates from top programs earning $91,000 to $157,000 CAD depending on the industry and work experience. So, MBA holders earn significantly more than those with a bachelor's degree in the same field.

Finally, MBA degree holders are in high demand in the job market, especially for top management positions. Research shows that MBA program graduates get to top management faster, as reported by 54% of employers. More than two-thirds of surveyed employers shared that senior managers in their organization typically have an MBA degree. 70% reported that MBA graduates in their companies earn more than others.

Where to get an MBA degree?

Today, many universities worldwide offer MBA programs. They differ in cost, duration, location, and specializations. Traditionally, the best universities offering the highest quality and most innovative business education are in the US, Canada, and European countries.

We suggest considering several educational institutions in different countries that can provide you with the desired MBA degree.
