Saskatchewan announces schedule of selections for entrepreneurs for 2024

We have a total of four raffles waiting for us.

Saskatchewan has shared the schedule of immigration draws under a special stream for entrepreneurs. The province will hold a total of four such draws in 2024:

  • January 11;
  • April 11;
  • July 11:
  • October 10.

Also, according to the updated guidelines, applicants cannot change their business plan once they have submitted their application.

Selection for the Saskatchewan Entrepreneur Program is in two stages:

  1. Applicants who meet the selection criteria are accepted into the Expression of Interest pool.
  2. Within the EOI pool, candidates are scored and ranked using a grid of points.

An applicant wishing to enter the pool must meet several requirements:

  • Have a business plan ready;
  • Have 3 years of management or business ownership experience within the last 10 years;
  • Possess CA$ 500,000 of capital and be willing to invest CA$ 200,000 or more in the business;
  • Own one-third of an established or purchased business in the province OR invest more than CA$ 1 million.
