Manitoba issued more than 1,000 invitations to skilled workers
This time the draw was held for only one category of candidates.
On December 21, the province of Manitoba held a new immigration draw for skilled workers overseas.
This stream is for professionals who have a strong connection to the region, such as having family or friends in the region, work experience, or have attended an information session organized by Manitoba representatives.
The province invited 1,113 candidates in the selection, 529 of whom were registered in the Express Entry system. They needed to score a minimum of 601 points on the evaluation system. This is much lower than in the previous draw on December 14 when foreign skilled workers needed to score 714 points.
In the Skilled Worker Overseas stream, points are awarded for language skills, age, work experience, education, and other factors.
