Quebec invited more than 1,000 people
The province has reported for another round of selections.
The Province of Quebec has released the results of the September 21 drawing. As in all recent selections, invitations were sent to a large number of skilled workers, this time totaling 1,018.
To receive an invitation this time, candidates had to fulfill one of the requirements:
- to have a job offer outside of Montreal and its suburbs;
- or have oral French at level 7 on the provincial grading system (above average) and score 579 points on the Arrima grading system, and have one of the appropriate occupations.
The list of occupations in this selection is as follows:
- Computer and information systems managers;
- Civil Engineers;
- Mechanical Engineers;
- Electrical and electronics engineers;
- Industrial and manufacturing engineers;
- Mining Engineers;
- Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers);
- Information Systems Analysts and Consultants;
- Database analysts and data administrators;
- Software engineers and designers;
- Computer programmers and interactive media developers;
- Web designers and web developers;
- Civil Engineering Technologists and Technicians;
- Mechanical engineering technologists and technicians;
- Industrial and manufacturing technologists and technicians;
- Electrical and electronics engineering technologists and technicians;
- Computer Network Technician;
- User support technicians;
- Information systems testing technicians;
- Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses;
- Licensed Practical Nurses;
- Nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates;
- Secondary school teachers;
- Elementary school and kindergarten teachers;
- Early childhood educators and assistants;
- Graphic arts technicians;
- Graphic designers and illustrators.
In the Arrima system, points are awarded for language skills (primarily French), education, work experience, age, profession, and having a job offer in Quebec.
The previous provincial selection was held September 7, in which invitations were sent out regardless of profession.
