Prince Edward Island held its first targeted draw
Only candidates with certain occupations were invited.
On August 3, Prince Edward Island hosted an immigration draw for professionals of various qualifications. The region selected 58 individuals in the following categories:
- PEI Express Entry;
- Labour Impact:
In this selection, only candidates with occupations in healthcare, manufacturing, food processing, construction, hospitality/accommodation, and agriculture were invited.
This was the first draw in which Prince Edward Island selected only candidates with specific occupations. Previously, the region issued invitations regardless of candidates' occupation.
The previous provincial selection was held on July 20, not only for professionals but also for entrepreneurs.
