Major draws from Saskatchewan are over
The province has halved the number of invited candidates.
On June 8, Saskatchewan held an immigration draw for professionals who applied for the provincial immigration program.
500 candidates were invited:
- Saskatchewan Express Entry — 268 invitations;
- Occupations In-Demand — 232 invitations.
Candidates needed to score a minimum of 69 points on the scoring system. Points are awarded for factors such as work experience, education, language skills, age, and connections to the province. In addition, all invited applicants needed to have work experience in one of the following occupations:
- professions in advertising, marketing, and public relations;
- supervisors in the supply industry;
- agents and purchasing and supply staff;
- manufacturing and transportation logistics coordinators;
- mechanical engineers;
- electrical and electronics engineers;
- industrial and manufacturing engineers;
- other professional engineers;
- chemical technologists and technicians;
- agricultural and fisheries inspectors;
- drafting technologists and technicians;
- mechanical engineering technologists and technicians;
- industrial engineering and manufacturing technologists and technicians;
- business development officers, researchers, and market analysts;
- facility operations and maintenance managers;
- welders and operators of appropriate machines;
- production managers;
- supervisors in food and beverage processing.
The previous selection was held on May 18. The minimum score was 2 points lower, and twice as many invitations were sent.
