Ontario's second draw for francophones with certain professions
The region has sent more than 400 invitations.
On June 5, Ontario held a draw under the provincial immigration program. This time, the region selected candidates with certain professions from the French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream. The total number of invitations was 417.
To apply for this stream, you must be registered in Express Entry and have a good command of English and French.
278 invitations went to candidates with professions in healthcare, education, and finance. Professionals needed to score between 312 and 487 points on the comprehensive ranking system.
Another 139 invitations went to representatives of technical, trades, and other priority occupations, who scored between 348 and 487 points. Points are awarded for age, education, work experience, language skills, and other factors.
For a list of eligible majors for this selection, see Ontario's official website.
This is the second selection for francophone skilled workers in Ontario this year, which is only for candidates with professions in the above fields. The previous drawing was held on May 16, and the passing scores have changed slightly.
