Ontario issues invitations for business people to immigrate
The passing score in the new draw is slightly lower.
On May 12, Ontario sent out invitations to 14 entrepreneurs who had applied for the provincial immigration program. They needed to score between 135 and 178 points on the scoring system.
Ontario's Entrepreneur Stream is for business people who have a net worth of CAD 400,000 or more and are willing to invest in their business of CAD 200,000 or more. Points are awarded for factors such as language skills, education, experience in owning and operating a business, amount of net worth and investment, number of jobs created, business concept, and so on.
The previous drawing for entrepreneurs was held on March 31, and the minimum score was 4 points higher.
