New draw for entrepreneurs in Ontario
The passing scores have gone up a bit.
On March 31, the province of Ontario held a new draw for entrepreneurs under the provincial immigration program.
The region invited a total of 13 people who scored between 139 and 159 points in the evaluation system.
Ontario's Entrepreneur Stream is for business owners with a net worth of CAD 400,000 or more willing to invest in a business of CAD 200,000 or more. Points are awarded for factors such as education, language skills, experience in owning and operating a business, amount of net worth and investment, number of jobs created, business concept, etc.
The previous drawing for entrepreneurs was held on January 27, in which the minimum passing score was 2 points lower.
