Canada invited 7,000 people to immigrate

This is the largest Express Entry draw in recent times.

On March 15, Canada held a new immigration draw in the Express Entry system.

7,000 invitations were sent to applicants in all federal immigration programs. Participants had to score a minimum of 490 points on the Comprehensive Ranking System for age, education, language skills, work experience, and other factors.

The previous general drawing in Express Entry was held on January 18, and the minimum score was the same. Before that, the 4 consecutive draws were not for all applicants, but only for skilled workers and applicants with provincial nominations.

Express Entry is a system used by Canada to select candidates for federal programs:

Also, in 2023 Canada plans to hold targeted draws in which candidates with certain occupations, education, or those going to move to a certain province will be invited.

Express Entry is one of the fastest ways to immigrate to Canada. If you need help with assessing your chances of moving, choosing an immigration program, and applying, book a consultation with our specialist.
