Second Express Entry draw in a row!

Canada invited several thousand more candidates.

On February 2, Canada again held a round of invitations in the Express Entry system and only for certain candidates. They were participants in the Federal Skilled Workers Program.

Invitations were extended to 3,300 people who scored 489 or higher on the Comprehensive Ranking System. This is the lowest passing score in a long time, but it was even lower before the pandemic. Express Entry scores are based on age, education, work experience, language skills, and other factors.

Just a day earlier, on February 1, Canada held an Express Entry draw for participants in provincial immigration programs. And before that, on January 18, there was a general drawing for all applicants. There haven't been separate draws for skilled workers for several years.

In addition to the Federal Skilled Workers (FSW) program, there are two other programs available for Express Entry: Federal Skilled Trades and Canadian Experience Class. However, the FSW program is the most popular.
