Manitoba made a Christmas gift to immigration candidates

The province conducted its largest immigration draw of the year.

On December 15, Manitoba sent out 1,030 invitations to skilled workers overseas. The draw was the largest for 2022. Applicants had to score a minimum of 600 points on the provincial evaluation system to receive an invitation.

Of the selected workers, 656 were registered in the federal Express Entry system.

Manitoba awards points for factors such as language ability, age, work experience, education, connections to the province, and connections to other regions of Canada. A maximum of 1,000 points can be earned.

Manitoba rarely invites many specialists from abroad and rarely holds separate draws for them.

For example, the last time, on December 1, there was a draw for skilled workers in Manitoba, skilled workers overseas, and university graduates. At that time, skilled workers overseas received only 43 invitations, and their passing score was 73 points higher.
