The province of Ontario holds its second consecutive draw

This time specialists in technical occupations were needed.

On September 28, the province of Ontario invited candidates under the provincial immigration program. 1,179 candidates were selected in the Human Capital Priorities stream, which prioritizes applicants who are in demand in the labour market.

The selected candidates scored 496 points or higher on the Comprehensive Ranking System and had experience in one of several IT occupations:

To participate in the Human Capital Priorities stream, a candidate must have a profile in the Express Entry system, which the Canadian federal government uses to process applications for permanent residency, and meet the requirements of one of the federal programs:

Compared to the previous drawing, which took place on February 22, the passing score in the new draw has increased by 54 points.
