Canada raised fees for processing immigration applications

Canada raised fees for processing immigration applications

The fees changed for the first time in two years.

On April 30, 2022, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will increase processing fees for permanent residence applications. The changes will affect economic immigration, family reunification programs, refugee and humanitarian programs.

In 2020, the fees were raised for the first time since 2002, and it was also decided to raise them every 2 years in line with inflation, so the current increase is scheduled.
