British Columbia has a new selection process for professionals and graduates
The province has already sent more than 10,000 invitations this year.
On October 26, British Columbia issued 358 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination. The selection was made as part of the provincial immigration program.
306 candidates were selected in streams for skilled workers, Canadian graduates and low— and mid-skilled professionals. The minimum passing scores were distributed as follows:
- skilled workers — 91;
- Canadian graduates — 78;
- low and medium skilled workers — 68;
- skilled workers with selection through Express Entry — 91;
- Canadian graduates with selection through Express Entry — 78.
Passing scores were up slightly from the previous selection, which took place on October 12.
B.C. made a separate selection for candidates with the following occupations:
Specialists in these fields received 52 invitations, and the minimum passing score for all categories was 104. The passing score for managers did not change.
