British Columbia has a major new draw
More than 400 people were invited to immigrate to the province.
On September 14, B.C.'s immigration program sent out 464 invitations to apply for a nomination from the province.
365 candidates were selected in streams for skilled workers, Canadian graduates, and low— and mid-skilled professionals. The minimum passing scores were distributed as follows:
- skilled workers — 90;
- Canadian graduates — 77;
- low and medium skilled workers — 69;
- skilled workers with selection through Express Entry — 86;
- Canadian graduates with selection through Express Entry — 75.
B.C. made a separate selection for candidates with the following occupations:
Professionals in these fields received 99 invitations, significantly more than usual, and the minimum passing score for all categories was 105. This is 1 point lower compared to previous selection, which took place on August 31. For the other streams the passing scores did not change.
