Ontario welcomes back graduate majors

Just one week after the previous selection, the province called for hundreds more.

On August 25, the provincial immigration program of Ontario sent 326 invitations to candidates to apply for a provincial nomination. The drawing was held among Canadian university graduates with a master's degree.

The invited candidates scored a minimum of 37 points in the system "Expression of interest". This is 2 points lower than the previous selection that took place on August 18. Earlier this month, the province of Ontario announced a new system for evaluating candidates for listed streams. This is the second selection for master's students to be held under this system.

Ontario evaluates candidates on a number of factors such as work experience in Canada, field of study, language ability and location of school.

To increase your chances of receiving an invitation from Ontario, keep an eye on history of immigration selections.
