Canada shared the results of the new Express Entry selection
The 2021 immigration plan is almost achieved.
On August 19, Canada sent 3,000 invitations to candidates registered with Express Entry and participating in the immigration program for specialists with experience in Canada.
The minimum passing score on the complex ranking system was 403. This is 1 point lower than in the previous selection, which took place on August 5.
The draw among professionals with Canadian experience took place the day after Express Entry selection for provincial immigration program participants.
Under a new immigration plan for 2021-2023, Canada aims to admit about 110,000 immigrants annually through Express Entry. For 2021, some 105,800 invitations have already been issued. Thus, the country has almost reached its annual goal in Express Entry.
Recent selections show that Canada continues to give priority to immigration applicants who are already in the country or who are nominated by the provinces, while travel restrictions continue to apply.
To maximize your chances of receiving an invitation to apply for Express Entry selection, we recommend keeping an eye on history of passing scores and number of invitations.
