B.C. Delighted with New Major Selection
Almost 400 people will be able to get permanent residency in the province.
On July 20, B.C.'s immigration program issued 383 invitations to apply for a nomination from the province.
323 candidates were selected in streams for skilled workers, Canadian graduates, and low— and intermediate-skilled professionals. The minimum passing scores were distributed as follows:
- skilled workers — 91;
- Canadian graduates — 82;
- low and medium skilled workers — 75;
- skilled workers with selection through Express Entry — 90;
- Canadian graduates with selection through Express Entry — 81.
B.C. made a separate selection for candidates with the following occupations:
Professionals in these fields received 60 invitations, the minimum passing score for all categories was 107.
Passing scores in the last draw were down slightly from the previous selection, which took place on July 6.
