B.C. once again conducts immigration screening
More than 400 candidates received invitations to immigrate to the province.
On March 30, British Columbia held another selection process for the provincial immigration program. The province sent 374 invitations to applicants. The selection process took place in the following streams:
- skilled workers in a stream for professionals in various fields (Skills Immigration);
- graduates in a stream for professionals in different fields (Skills Immigration);
- low and medium skilled workers in a stream for professionals in different fields (Skills Immigration);
- skilled workers under the provincial program (Express Entry BC);
- graduates in the provincial program (Express Entry BC).
British Columbia made special selections for the following categories:
Professionals in these fields received only 44 invitations with a minimum passing score of 113. The remaining 330 candidates had scores between 81 and 96.
For 2021, the province invited just 2,806 applicants through the provincial immigration program.
