Third Express Entry selection in a row
The passing score is down to a record low.
Canada is delighting applicants with daily immigration selections! On July 6, the third consecutive drawing in the Express Entry system took place. The invitations went out to 1,500 people in healthcare professions.
The Express Entry system is designed to evaluate and select candidates for immigration in three federal programs:
The selected candidates needed 6 months of work experience within the past 3 years in the priority occupation. See here for a complete list of eligible occupations.
But it should be noted that registration in Express Entry requires 1 year of work experience within the last 10 years. Thus, it was enough for applicants to have 6 months of work experience in a medical profession and another 6 months in any other profession to be invited.
The passing score for this draw was 463. This is the lowest figure of the last year. Points are awarded for various factors: age, work experience, language skills, education, and more.
This is the second drawing in Canada for healthcare professionals. The previous one was very recent, on June 28 with a passing score of 476. There were also two other selections this week: on July 4 for all occupations and on July 5 for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics occupations.
