Pre-New Year's Eve screening in Saskatchewan
The province has invited specialists of in-demand professions to take up residence.
On Dec. 27, Saskatchewan held another immigration draw for its own provincial program. A total of 63 invitations were sent out:
- Saskatchewan Express Entry — 15 invitations;
- Occupations in-demand — 48 invitations.
This time, successful candidates needed to score at least 69 marks in the evaluation system, a significant drop from the last selection held on October 23.
Points were awarded for factors such as work experience, education, language skills, age and ties to the province. In addition, all invitees needed to have experience in one of the following professions:
- psychologists;
- occupational therapists;
- paramedical professions;
- medical laboratory technologists;
- medical radiation technologists;
- medical sonographers;
- medical laboratory assistants and related technical occupations.
Saskatchewan also holds special screenings for entrepreneurs. The last one was held on November 2.
We will continue to follow the history of the Saskatchewan selections to keep you up to date with the latest information on passing grades and invitation numbers.
