Alberta held a screening for medics
With a high passing grade.
The Province of Alberta shared the results of the immigration screening that was held on Nov. 21 specifically for health care workers. A total of 11 invitations were sent out to candidates who scored at least 345 points.
The previous time applicants with medical professions were selected November 9, the pass rate was much lower. Points in the Comprehensive Ranking System are awarded for age, education, work experience, language skills and other factors.
To be eligible for immigration under this stream, a candidate must fulfill a number of requirements:
- Have an active profile in the Express Entry system;
- Meet the minimum criteria of one of the three federal programs:
- CRS score 300 and above;
- Receive a job offer in Alberta in the health care industry;
- Meet the requirements for obtaining a license to practice the profession;
- Have one of the eligible professions — complete list at link.
