Alberta invited health care workers
The province conducted a targeted selection process.
Alberta reported on the selection process held on October 24 for health care employees. In total, invitations were sent out to 22 candidates who scored at least 326 points.
The previous screening for health professionals was held on October 10, at which time the passing score was 1 point higher. Points in the Comprehensive Ranking System are awarded for age, education, work experience, language skills and other factors.
To be eligible for immigration under this stream, an applicant must meet a number of requirements:
- Have an active profile in the Express Entry system;
- Meet the minimum criteria of one of the three federal programs:
- Score a minimum of 300 points in the Express Entry system;
- Receive a job offer in Alberta in the health care industry;
- Meet the requirements for obtaining a license to practice the profession;
- Have one of the eligible professions — complete list at link.
