British Columbia sent out immigration invitations again
Passing scores are kept at the same level.
On August 9, British Columbia held a new draw under the provincial immigration program. Among the 195 invitees, there were both applicants with certain professions and applicants who were selected regardless of their specialty.
139 invitations were received by candidates with all occupations in the following categories:
- Skilled Worker (including those registered in the Express Entry system) — minimum score of 107;
- International Graduate (including those registered in the Express Entry system) — minimum score of 110;
- Entry Level and Semi-Skilled — minimum score of 88.
Another 56 invitations were sent to candidates with in-demand professions who scored 60 points:
- early childhood educators and assistants — 34 invitations;
- healthcare professionals — 22 invitations.
The province's previous general selection was held on July 25. The passing scores were almost unchanged. Later, on August 1, a targeted draw was held, in which the province selected only professionals with in-demand occupations.
British Columbia awards points for education, language skills, work experience, employer location, and salary. You must find a job in the province before you can apply for immigration.
