Fourth Express Entry draw: Canada does not stop!
The passing score is again a record low.
On July 7, Canada held another immigration drawing in Express Entry. It was the fourth in a row in a week.
The Express Entry system is designed to evaluate and select candidates for federal immigration programs to Canada:
This time, 2,300 invitations were issued to candidates with knowledge of French at CLB level 7 or higher. Applicants also needed a minimum score of 439 in the Comprehensive Ranking System. The passing score in this selection was the lowest in the past year. Points are awarded for age, education, language level, work experience, and similar factors.
Earlier in the week, Canada held three more Express Entry selections for different candidates:
- July 4 — for all candidates, the passing score is 511;
- July 5 — for professions in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, the passing score is 486;
- July 6 — for healthcare professions, the passing score is 463.
This was the first special drawing for candidates with French proficiency.
