Canada's third Express Entry draw not for all candidates

Canada

Only one category of applicants is invited.

On March 1, Canada held a new draw in the Express Entry system for candidates with provincial nominations.

A total of 667 people who scored 748 or higher in the Comprehensive Ranking System were invited. Earlier, the drawing for candidates with provincial nominations was held on February 15, and the passing score was significantly higher.

Express Entry is the system Canada uses to select candidates for federal immigration programs:

A provincial nomination automatically adds 600 points. Therefore, without a nomination in this draw, applicants needed only 148 points for education, work experience, language skills, age, and other factors. The nomination is given to those who applied through one of the provincial immigration programs and received an invitation.
